Known for his calm demeanour and sneaky sense of humour, Daniel is the guy who quietly observes the room… then delivers a one-liner that leaves everyone laughing. He’s happiest with a good movie, a comfy seat, and zero social obligations. But somehow, in between Sunday services and skipping small talk, he managed to find the love of his life — proving that even the quiet ones have the loudest hearts.

Abigail (Abi) Ativie

Abi is a vibrant, adventure-loving spirit with a passion for sports, cooking, and baking—though not always in that order! Known for her infectious energy and warm heart, she first noticed her now-fiancé through the soulful sounds of his keyboard and drum playing at church—skills that require rhythm and coordination, something she sometimes lacks (but makes up for with charm). After a not-so-subtle invite to one of her rugby games, the two connected—and the rest, as they say, is history. Abi is most excited about sharing life’s adventures with her best friend and waking up every day next to the man who once crashed her game and stole her heart.

The Beginning

It all started on a cool spring day at Abi’s rugby game. Who would’ve thought that cheering from the sidelines would lead to something so special? That day, amidst muddy boots and flying tackles, I saw something more than just a match—I saw the start of everything.

The Chase

After that game, I knew I wanted to spend more time with her—just the two of us. But it wasn’t easy! It took three tries (and a little charm) before we finally managed to go on a date without family or friends tagging along. Persistence paid off, and eventually, she said yes to a proper date—and that was when things really began to fall into place.

Our First Real Date

When we finally got that time alone, it felt effortless. Conversation flowed, laughter came easy, and there was that quiet, undeniable feeling that this was something real. That date was the beginning of us—our own little world.

The Big Question

Then came the moment I’ll never forget. On the 30th of November, with my heart pounding and my hands a little shaky, I asked the biggest question of my life. And she said yes (obviously). That ‘yes’ changed everything.

And here we are now. From a rugby pitch to planning forever. Every laugh, every late-night talk, every challenge and joy—it’s all led us here. And this? This is just the beginning.
